Bubbles. Boots. Beer (the Green kind)

"There comes a time in every women's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne."
--Bette Davis

Amen to that sister!

On a different note, last weekend was full of fun activities!  Friday night my mom so generously invited Blake and I to the Houston Rodeo to see Train perform.  Now let me just say that this was my first rodeo experience from a suite and boy it did not disappoint.  And surprisingly, neither did Train!  The performance was spectacular.  Here's to more suite experiences!

Saturday was St. Patrick's Day!  Need I say more....
After a morning hair appointment we were off to meet up with Mel and Joe and some other friends at Griff's where the festivities were well under way!  Cool tid bit of info, Mel's boyfriend Joe is a bagpipe player!  I mean that is seriously neat.  So in the spirit of the holiday we were all dressed in our green garb, with a green beer in hand, and the bagpipe playing crew in tow.  Although Blake and I missed the group bagpipe performance, we were able to catch some solo's :)
The weather was heavenly, so after Griff's we headed off to enjoy some patio fajitas and then ended the night at one of our local spots with a game of jinga.  St. Patty's Day 2012 was a blast!!  (Bonus: Cinco de mayo is also on a Saturday this year= awesomeness!)

(Most of the photos come courtesy of Melissa's i-phone.  Thanks Mel ;))

Can't wait until we are actually in Ireland!  Until then....cheers with a green beer!

Crawfish-Boil

So, it's no secret, I come from a family of crawfish loving men.  And as it turns out my cajun boyfriend is a crawfish LOVER too!!  He fits in well :) (Bragging moment) Anywho....my wonderful parents decided to go ahead and throw a Crawfish Boil with a little persuasion from their kiddos.  To say the least, it ended up being a blast!  And since I take after my momma and was not ready to completely dive in, my loving boyfriend peeled all my crawfish for me!...(yes I realize that this is totally sissy! and his sweet mother might have helped too)  Baby steps people.

I ended up taking tons of pics per the usual of the fun event with great friends and family!  Even Mel and Joe made an appearance...and just to confirm, no she has not suddenly become a lover of crustaceans but we are working on her.

The boys getting to work on the crawfish!

Ollie (Kyle's dog) was not to sure about those dead crawfish...

I learned more than I wanted to know about the purging process
