Relax.
Sometimes it helps to close your eyes, take a deep breath and to be still.
My weekend will look something like this:

Bubble Baths. |

Fruit Infused Sparkling Water. |

Workouts, so I can work on a body like Jen Aniston....yeaahhhhh. |

A little bit of this chick! And a lot of this.... :) |
Many years ago my momma gave me a picture with a quote in it that read...
"When the day is over
And you have done your best
Wait the results in peace."
I think this is applicable to so many areas of our lives. I still have the picture and it hangs in my bathroom. It means so much to me.
Happy Weekend to All!

Birthdays O' Plenty
Late July and early August has been the season of birthdays! We started it off with Sharon's (close family friend) 50th birthday bash. Blake and I enjoyed being with family/ close friends and celebrating Sharon's special day.
The following weekend we headed to Cypress to celebrate Blake's friend Holli's birthday with beer and wings at the local Buffalo Wild Wings. The next morning we headed back up to the Woodlands for my sweet momma's birthday! Last year we had a big blowout party so this year she opted for a low key lunch at Kim Son for some yummy Japanese food! Being that it was a pretty chill afternoon, I did not get any pics :( (Or any pics this entire weekend.....gasp, I know that this is quite rare for me.) After lunch with my parents, we were off to Houston for Blake's roommates afternoon pool/ cookout party! To say the least, this weekend was ALL about the birthdays!!!
And last but certainly not least, we celebrated my sweet love's birthday this weekend!! It all started on Thursday night when I surprised Blake with a small dinner party! We had made plans to have a date night to celebrate his birthday. But little did he know that I had a group of people (mostly family) waiting to surprise him at the restaurant. I did not end up with the pictures (my aunt took them) but Blake was SHOCKED! I loved pulling off this surprise for him. He is so loving and he works so hard-- he deserved to feel special! We enjoyed wine, handmade pizza's and cupcakes from a local bakery in the Woodlands. Thanks to my mom for the wonderful cupcakes! After dinner Blake, Joe, Mel and I decided to pop over to J. Blacks for birthday drinks! It was such a blast. We ended up having an amazing night with friends and drinks o plenty, haha.
Friday morning we were off with Blake's family to Galveston to spend the weekend at the San Luis Resort! AHHHMAAAZZINNG! It was the perfect weekend spent with family....I could not have asked for a more perfect getaway. We hung out poolside with frozen beverages, noshed on lobster, crab and champagne, walked on the beach, danced, and reminisced on a lifetime of memories. I certainly am one lucky girl to have found this amazing man and to be a part of this amazing family! Thanks to Tory for the wonderful weekend.
Happy Birthday to my love!
And now it is time to recoup from a busy 2 weeks and to rejuvenate....football season is right around the corner!! And we CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Summer Livin'
Welp, I was not successful in getting pictures to upload from my "very old and beat up pink sony". However, I was successful in taking said camera to Walgreens and pulling the pictures from the memory card to a disc. This has in fact actually forced me to print some pics for once!! So all in all I think it was for the best.
It was a busy July and there is no sign of relief in early August. Blake and I headed up to Austin a few weeks ago to attend a "family game night" with my fam. We welcomed the opportunity to get away for the weekend and to enjoy some relaxation. We began our trip with some pool lounging at my parent's hotel! This girl loves some pool time. We then headed back to my brothers house to clean up before meeting the family for a cocktail at the Hyatt on townlake. After a drink it was time for dinner at Z-Tejas!! One of my all time favorites....and it was a blast hanging out and conversating with everyone, all 18 members, ha. After dinner Kyle was nice enough to have everyone over to play some games and have some dessert. Such a fun time!!! Competitiveness and all :)
The weekend after we returned from our family fun trip to Austin, we attended a wine tasting at Water2Wine here in Houston! I had purchased the wine tasting for 4 from a silent auction this past spring at the RelayforLife event. It was a wonderful cause and I am rarely known to turn down an opportunity for some wine! Who's with me?! And let's just say that the tasting did NOT disappoint in the least! We were welcomed by the friendliest staff and given a brief description of the winery and how the wine process works with them. After that we were able to select a white wine and a red wine flight to sample! The samples were quite large so we took our time enjoying the wine and the company. I highly recommend Water2Wine for a fun afternoon or evening out with friends or family. You can even bottle and personal label your own wine (which is always a cute idea for an event or party!) After the wine tasting Blake, Tory and I enjoyed a great Italian dinner at Coppa!
Last weekend we celebrated my mom's sweet friend Sharon's birthday in The Woodlands. I have some great pics but once again I am going to have to post those later. This Saturday is my momma's birthday so I am sure a birthday post is up next (and a couple of friend bdays in the mix). Not to mention my wonderful boyfriend's birthday is coming up this week!! I am chomping at the bit for our mini vaca to Galveston next weekend with his family! We are going all out and staying at the San Louis......so much fun awaits us! As the summer winds down (someone needs to talk to the weather about this) I am excited to get every last ounce out of it.
Happy August and Olympic watching everyone! Enjoy!
